From Little Things Big Things Grow...
Established in 1995, industry leader Protector Aluminium, emerged from humble beginnings. The brainchild of founder Darryl Cardell who was working as a fencing contractor in the late ‘80’s; Protector Aluminium, was founded in response to the Queensland Government legislation passed in 1991 making pool fencing compulsory.
When the legislation was introduced Darryl quickly realised that this was a niche market with a growing demand that wasn’t being satisfied. With just himself and his trusty dog, he was ‘jack of all trades’ in the business and worked hard to establish the company and foster its growth from a one-man enterprise through to the thriving business it is today. Protector Aluminium employ approximately 50 staff and service all states in Australia and New Zealand, operating from their Sunshine Coast headquarters in a custom-designed 3000 square metre shed with state-of-the-art automated powder coating machines.
It all started with one man’s hard work, entrepreneurial vision and self belief...its success is a true testament to Darryl Cardell taking a leap of faith and transforming an opportunity into a multi-million dollar business and Protector Aluminium’s continued dedication to maintaining the very highest of standards.
Protector Aluminium products include aluminium fencing and gates in standard and custom built designs as well as the popular high-end glass pool fencing. Their pool fencing products are solely designed to stop children drowning, a vision which has seen them become the only pool fencing company endorsed by Royal Lifesaving Australia. From the onset they have held a staunch commitment to preventing pool drowning deaths throughout Australasia and are raising the safety standards within the pool fencing industry.
