The man behind Protector Aluminium, is'nt one to boast about his achievements. Darryl started working as a fencing contractor almost 20 years ago. In 1986 he was building tennis courts on the Gold Coast , including that of Christopher Skase. Darryl has taken the business from a one man band, to a major player in the Aluminum market.

As General Manager, Grant plays a leading role in our company. With a history of managerial roles with large Australian company's such as Chandlers and Angus & Robertson, Grant brings leadership qualities which will help grow the company into the future. Always with a kind word and caring nature he is a true leader. With a passion for triathlon, going to the beach with his wife and daughter and playing tennis, it's hard to see where he finds the time to fit it all in.

Kezza has been with us for 5 years and fills the role of Production Supervisor. Kerry's role is to work with and supervise the manufacturing and transport teams. Whilst a demanding job, Kerry always has time for a bit of fun - you should hear her at karaoke!

 

 

 Andrew joined us in January coming from a fabrication and sales background. Andrew works closely with Carol and Corey in servicing our customer's needs in the area's of quotes, orders and advice. Andrew has the ability to be able to get on with anyone, and always finds the time to spend with people. If he doesn't know that answer, he will go out of his way to find it.

 

 Cairan is in sales/special orders for one of our major customers. In this role he processes all orders and enquries for NSW and VIC. He is also responsibile for estimating all non standard orders nationally for this customer. Cairan comes with experinces from a variety of trade backgrounds. With a cheerful and bright personality he is terrific addition to our team.

 

 Paul started with us in mid 2007 in the role of delivery driver. Proving efficient and reliable, Paul is now Warehouse and Distribution Supervisor. Always quick witted with his English sense of humor, Paul sets a great example for his team.

 

 Kelly joins our team bringing experiences from hospitality, accounting and having owned her own business. Kelly's role in the business is controlling the purchasing, EOM accounts as well as general administration duties for one of our major customers. In this role, Kelly is also responsible for the processing of all orders for the WA and SA customers. Kelly also speaks fluent Mandarin and Cantonese. Kelly has been with us for 3 months, and is a delight to have around. Welcome to the team Kelly.

As Business Development Manager, Corey plays a key role in the business. Corey offers our customers experience and knowledge that has been learnt first hand installing. Always ready with a joke, and a bit of fun, he offers our customers terrific service. While maintaining good relationships with our exisiting customers, Corey is also responsibile for expanding our market base, and looking at new product developments.

Lauchlan is in his 5th year at Protector Aluminium. As an experienced welder, Lauchlan is an important part of the Protector Aluminium team. A keen fisherman, he always has a "fishing tale" to share. Always reliable and offering to help everyone.

As our longest serving employee at 6 years, Shane has seen and been part of all the changes and growth at Protector. As a senior part of our manufacturing team, Shane brings the great experience and humour for the team.

Carol's knowledge has all been learnt while with Protector Aluminium. Now very knowledgeable in all area's, offers terrific advice, and some great golf stories to our customers. Carol also makes a great tea and coffee.

Dezi can do it all at Protector Aluminium, from powder coating to delivery driving, and if he has not done it, he is ready to give it a go! A father of 5, oops now 6, he is always keen to come to work for a rest. One of those guys that everyone seems to love, especially his wife.

 

 

As purchasing co-ordinater, Brent brings a history of experience to the role. Having been with us for a total of two and half years, Brent's knowledge is terrific, and has developed a terrific relationship with all our suppliers.

With terrific manufacturing and welding experience behind him, Justin fills the role of factory floor supervisor. Working with Kerry and the manufacturing teams, his role is vital ensuring we meet out deadlines. Justin has been part of the team since Feb 2002. With his dry NZ sense of humour, and wit, he fits in nicely around here.

Karren supervises the accounts and payroll departments at Protector Aluminium. But what she is most famous for is being Darryl's better half. Coming from many years of experience in the banking industry, you can be assured this department is squeaky clean. In her spare time, which she has plenty of, you find her training and drinking, just depends what day it is.. 

Belinda works closely with Karren in the payroll and accounts department. Coming from experience in large multi-national businesses, she brings great experience to the team. Belinda in her spare time works as a gym instructor at various locations around the Sunshine Coast, doing an average about 14 classes per week, we really think she just comes here for a rest.

  As National Account Manager, Stuart plays an important role in the business. Stuart offers a level of experience difficult to find in this industry, his knowledge is amazing, as is his sense of humor and wit. Stuart's role is to provide support and service to our National Account. Stuart has a terrific team of people working with him, which makes him look good. (only joking!)
 

 

Lynda is our first point of contact at Protector. With receptionist and administration duties to perform, she manages to keep herself quite busy. With a background in administration, Lynda has brought not only great skills, but a bright personality. Lynda's most important job is  looking after the footy tipping competition.

Troy commenced in January 2002 working as a factory assistant. Now working as a welder Troy has developed into a reliable team member. A keen soccer player, but a bit soft when it comes to the run training.

Jess has brought a large variety of talent and skills to our team. Multi-skilled in administration, reception and also website building, Jess is becoming jack of all trades. Now working with Stuart looking after our key account, Jess is the main contact for all QLD stores, and looks after the logistics network nationally for us.
