In a very exciting development for Water Safety in Australia, Protector Aluminium has developed ‘CPR Rescue’ – one of the only free CPR iPhone applications available in Australia.

CPR Rescue provides voice activated instructions on how to perform CPR during an emergency. There is also the option to run through a ‘training’ course which outlines each of the steps in a successful DRABCD rescue.

One of the many features is the applications ability to call the emergency phone number anywhere in the world. Meaning when in Australia the phone will call 000, if in America it will call 911 etc.

Unlike any CPR Applications currently available CPR Rescue also allows the user to chose from ‘baby’, ‘child’ or ‘adult’ and will highlight subtle differences to the user when performing CPR. For example on a baby – resuscitation is given over the mouth and nose – unlike the adult where resuscitation in given over the mouth with nose pinched closed.
